Express is seeking an experienced and dedicated Directional Drill Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate and maintain directional drilling equipment for various underground utility installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate directional drill rigs and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of drilling equipment.
- Read and interpret plans, maps, and blueprints to execute drilling plans.
- Monitor progress of drilling operations and make adjustments as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with the team, including the foreman, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the drilling process.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating directional drilling equipment.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
- Knowledge of underground utility construction and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working outdoors.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
