Bassett's Market is hiring Hardware Clerks. As a hardware clerk at our store, your primary responsibilities will include: - Assisting customers with locating and selecting hardware products - Providing expert advice and recommendations on tools, materials, and supplies - Processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter - Maintaining inventory levels by restocking shelves and ordering products as needed - Organizing and arranging merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience - Operating equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and computers - Answering customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email - Ensuring a clean and organized store environment at all times - Following store policies and procedures related to safety, security, and customer service To succeed in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of hardware products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior experience in a hardware store or a similar retail setting is preferred but not required.
