Bassett's Market is hiring a produce clerk. As a produce clerk at our grocery store, your primary responsibilities will include: - Receiving, inspecting, and stocking fresh produce items such as fruits and vegetables - Ensuring that all produce is displayed in an attractive and organized manner - Rotating stock to maintain freshness and remove any items that do not meet quality standards - Assisting customers in selecting and bagging produce items - Keeping the produce department clean and well-maintained, including monitoring and disposing of any expired or damaged products - Following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times - Collaborating with team members to meet department goals and provide excellent customer service - Receiving and processing shipments of produce, including checking for quality and accuracy To succeed in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for fresh, high-quality produce. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
