    About The Job

    Dudek is seeking a self-motivated Senior-Level NEPA Planner to support our growing portfolio of projects being developed by clients that require preparation of NEPA documentation. The  Senior-Level NEPA Planner will also have the ability to develop a practice pending demonstration of ability to lead a team within a focused client sector. The candidate will need to demonstrate ability and interest in working as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment with the capability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

    Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below): 

  • Demonstrated project experience in the development of NEPA documents

  • Conduct NEPA document reviews and writing technical documents (Description of Proposed Action and Alternative [DOPAAs], Environmental Assessments [EAs], Environmental Impact Statements [EISs], Finding of No Significant Impact [FONSIs], Findings of No Practicable Alternatives [FONPAs], Records of Decisions [RODs], Section 106 and 7 Consultation packages, etc

  • Experience in leading a NEPA team of subject matter experts to complete environmental studies and resource analyses

  • Experience in public meeting participation, including scoping meetings and outreach with federal, state and local regulatory staff

  • Experience in the preparation of scope and budget for the preparation of NEPA documents

  • Coordinate and manage interdisciplinary resource and planning technical teams tailored to the specific needs of individual projects

  • Provide guidance to subject matter experts for preparing NEPA documents

  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our clients

  • Work closely with other Dudek Project Managers to promote our business interests in adherence with the company’s mission, vision, and values Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

    Minimum Requirements

  • 8 or more years of professional work experience with demonstratable success in NEPA document preparation

  • Project management experience overseeing contracts, budgets, schedules and technical staff or subconsultants

    • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and knowledge of the BLM NEPA environmental review process and associated rules and regulations, including developing energy projects in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico

  • Familiarity with natural and cultural resource management plans (INRMP, ICRMP, IPMP, ISMP, ESMP)

  • Direct experience with DoD NEPA regulations and projects, Army, Air Force, and Navy NEPA

    Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

  • This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Speaking, hearing and listening are required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Proposed Salary Range: $105,000-$152,000 annually *

    *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
