Overview:

As a Commercial Janitorial Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of commercial spaces. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure that facilities are kept in pristine condition, providing a welcoming and hygienic environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including but not limited to floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, and common areas. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to sanitize surfaces and maintain hygiene standards.

     

  • Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated bins throughout the facility. Ensure proper separation and disposal according to waste management guidelines.

     

  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as needed to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Perform spot cleaning and stain removal as necessary.

     

  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.

     

  • Surface Cleaning: Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to remove dirt, grime, and fingerprints. Pay special attention to high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs.

     

     

  • Equipment Maintenance: Properly use, maintain, and store cleaning equipment and supplies. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.

     

  • Compliance with Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing cleaning duties. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow established procedures to minimize risks and hazards.

     

  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and building occupants to coordinate cleaning schedules, address specific cleaning needs, and ensure client satisfaction.

     

  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as spills, leaks, or other accidents, in a prompt and efficient manner. Follow established protocols for reporting incidents and seeking assistance when necessary.

Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required.

Starting pay of $17.00 - $23/hr depending on experience
