Aerotek Process Technician in Powell, Tennessee

Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

As a Process Technician, you will be directly involved with all phases of machine operation including startup, operation, and maintenance of machines, automated conveying systems, auxiliary equipment, air compressors, and robotic parts removal. This position includes an alternating work week schedule with every other weekend (36 hours one week/48 hours the next) and may require a rotating 24/7 on-call shift for emergencies, requiring to be onsite within one hour. This schedule could include working weekends or holidays. You will conduct all operations in accordance with safety requirements and demonstrate basic National Electrical Code understanding. Your responsibilities will also include starting all plant equipment from a cold shutdown, ensuring that assigned machines are operating within established parameters and control limits, and that parts conform to established specifications. You will also be involved in minor tooling maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing and calibrating production equipment as required, and making wiring/programming changes on all production equipment as required. You will perform electrical and machine preventative maintenance at scheduled intervals and ensure all facets of the quality and manufacturing systems are followed and adhered to. You will identify problems and isolate them to specific components through test, observations, or other criteria. Your role will also involve assisting Production, Maintenance, Process, and Project Engineers to meet daily priorities, coverage, and special projects, assisting in equipment installations, project preparations, and project completion, and maintaining a clean work area and following proper safety procedures. Your ability to understand machine functions and troubleshoot effectively will be vital.
