JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary Under the direction of the Engineering Team, the Engineer Intern will provide engineering support for new and current product, make calculations, prepare plans for projects, organize department documents, assist with R&D testing, or other assignments as requested. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following: Learn the Responsibilities of an Engineer, which may include: Assisting with Product Engineering Requests (PERs) Modeling and Drawing product using SolidWorks. Reviewing and managing documentation. Manage Daily Work Assist in providing direct day-to-day support and oversight of product elements. For example, they may take measurements, review design documentation, or answer questions on current product with help from more senior engineers. Develop time management skills by managing their schedules in relation to deliverable timelines under the supervision of the Engineering Manager or other senior engineering staff. Work closely with relevant stakeholders on specific assigned tasks, ensuring that all personnel understand and receive the desired outcome. Provide relevant reporting to the Engineering Manager or designee to keep them informed on the status of their work. Provide Engineering Support Provide direct or indirect support to engineering teams or other engineers. This duty can be relatively wide-ranging, encompassing tasks like gathering data, submitting documentation, and ensuring that change orders are logged and submitted to appropriate personnel. Coordination and Teamwork May work on teams that include other company departments, technicians, and other engineers, so team coordination and collaboration is another major duty.
