Mobile Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic
Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil and heavy-highway contractor - is searching for an experienced and skilled Mobile Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our mechanic’s team! This is a full time, permanent position with great benefits. Travel is required and overtime is common for this mobile mechanic position. Base wages are dependent upon experience. Pay rates for the Prescott area (no travel) are between $28.25 to $35.60 per hour. When on the road, wages will range from $35.25 to $43.60 per hour. When in overtime and traveling, pay will range between $49.38 and $61.40 per hour!
Our family-owned 60+ year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.
Our Mobil Truck Mechanics perform diagnostic tests, routine maintenance and large-scale repair procedures on our fleet of heavy trucks and trailers. They are essential to the safety and growth of our company. Do you have experience in the following?

The job description for a Shop Heavy Truck Mechanic will include some aspects of a CDL Driver because you must understand how to operate the vehicles you service, repair and/or maintain. This includes, but is not limited to our fleet of Mack trucks & chassis, belly dumps, side dump trailers, oil tanker and pneumatic trailers, Freightliners, water trucks, and other miscellaneous 10 or 12 wheelers.
Basic requirements Include:
Must be a safety-minded and self-motivated as you will often work unsupervised.
Preferably a class A or B CDL license with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.
Clean 5-year MVR as you may be assigned a company Mechanic’s Truck
Should have experience driving large CDL Class vehicles.
Must have your own tools.
Working alone or with a team; shifts may vary.
