Position Summary:
Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additional responsibilities include: * Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces * Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation * Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated * Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift * Will move beds and other non-technical equipment as required to complete discharge cleaning and will remove and hang cubical curtains as required * Documents daily tasks and times as requested * Transports medical waste and regular waste from all areas to the designated holding area * Uses chemicals as designated for cleaning purposes
Minimum Qualifications: * Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
