: 03 months.

Payrate: \$18.25/hr.

Schedule:

All workers will be split into 2 teams:

  • Team 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 5:45am-6:00pm; Wednesday 5:45am-6:00pm every other week (alternating with team 2)
  • Team 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 5:45am-6:00pm; Wednesday 5:45pm-6:00am every other week (alternating with team 1)

Job Descriptions

  • Green Corn Unloading/Sampling
  • While performing the duties of this job the contract workers are regularly required to stand, while applying physical exertion, pulling, pushing, twisting at the waist, walk on uneven surfaces, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
  • This job will require the contract worker to work in and around semi-trucks and trailers.
  • This job will be working next to a moving belt, while working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain or snow).
  • Responsible for keeping the immediate work area kernel clean.
  • Contract workers will be required to communicate with hand signals or verbally when positioning the trucks.
  • Required to collect ear corn samples intermittently from the trucks and deliver to the sampling area.
  • Required to husk the ears and then shell kernels from the cob.

Husker Operator

  • Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable operating equipment through HMI.
  • Responsible for monitoring the flow of ear corn
  • Responsible for keeping the immediate work area kernel clean.
  • May require working next to a moving belt and communicating through radio.
  • Will require working at ground level and up on the second floor above sorting. Also, ascending and descending via stairs during each shift.

Dryer Bin Fill

  • Responsible for operating the rooftop trolleys in a safe manner while traveling from one dryer bin to the next, while working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain or snow).
  • Responsible for sweeping and keeping the immediate work area kernel clean.
  • This job will require working on top of the dryer building (must be comfortable with heights), ascending and descending via stairs during each shift.
  • May require working next to a moving belt and communicating through radio.

Dryer Bin Unload & Clean

  • Regularly required to stand, repetitive reach motion with arms and hands, pulling, pushing, twisting at the waist, walking on uneven surfaces, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
  • Kernel clean all bins, which requires working on a sloped surface.
  • Will be exposed to all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain or snow)
  • May be asked to perform sorting duties when needed.
