Corteva Agriscience Production Specialist - Field in Princeton, Illinois

What You'll Do:

  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year.

  • Lead Field Mapping Activities, GPS Field boundaries and upload into ArcGIS.

  • Ensure digital tools are calibrated and ready for use each season

  • Perform administrative procedures, along with all procedures associated with field activities.

  • Field responsibilities may include assisting growers with planting, IPM, detasseling coordination, and harvest troubleshooting.

  • Involved in seasonal data collection and management. Including: as-planted, as-applied, uploading fertility data and harvest yield monitor setup and data collection/monitoring.

  • Ability to help train a diverse group of growers and employees on seed field processes and expectations.

  • Involved in the analysis of data collected from digital agronomy tools and strategies.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED minimum. Associate's degree preferred.

  • You have a valid driver's license, so you will be able to drive a company vehicle on assignment when needed.

  • You always put your best foot forward and have a great attention to detail.

  • You are willing to help out and physical work isn't a problem for you (lifting up to 50lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation included).

  • You understand that the company's viability and performance is directly tied to your job security, so you are willing and able to work overtime and weekends to meet business needs during peak season.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience using Geospatial technology.

  • Strong understanding and experience with farm machinery, geographic information systems (GIS software), GPS systems, variable rate technology and mapping software.

This positions is required to work at the Corteva location 5 days a week.
