Position Summary

The Enterprise Learning Organization is helping BMS build an enterprise workforce that is capable of accelerating future growth. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Director, Compliance and Ethics (C&E) Learning to join the Enterprise Learning Organization as a member of the Leadership Team. As Senior Director, you will report to the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) and lead a team to develop, drive, and execute the Enterprise Compliance & Ethics learning strategy. You will partner closely with the C&E leadership to augment the existing C&E education strategy, drive simplification, enable cost-effective C&E content delivery, and improve the overall learner experience and engagement. This role is also responsible for providing learning solutions that support BMS leaders in making informed decisions through risk assessment, analytics & monitoring, policy education, and other resources to ensure that business decisions align with intended outcomes. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer and will collaborate with other Enterprise Learning stakeholders and Centers of Excellence teams to leverage in-house expertise, drive innovation, provide a coordinated learning interface, and exceptional service delivery for major initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and executive a comprehensive C&E learning strategy that includes best-fit methodologies to reinforce compliance and ethics education, key messages, and optimizes learning and business impact/results.

  • Drive simplification of learning and identify cost-effective methods for C&E content delivery while improving the learner experience and engagement.

  • Manage and optimize C&E learning budget and expenses including monitoring key vendor relationships and adherence to BMS policies and standards.

  • Identify innovative practices, industry/technology trends, and opportunities in the strategic advancement of C&E education for BMS.

  • Design and implement learning solutions to enhance C&E education programs for above market (World-Wide) and in-market level needs.

  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure and track the effectiveness/impact of C&E learning solutions and initiatives.

  • Develop strategies and lead effort to enhance and embed the culture of integrity within the organization.

  • Deliver quality learning solutions with speed and integrity while consistently demonstrating BMS values.

  • Build and maintain relationships with learning and external stakeholders, partners, institutions, and industry experts to leverage resources and expertise.

  • Support functional teams and cross-functional stakeholders to promote learning transformation strategy and objectives in alignment with the BMS vision, mission, and value.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years of Learning related experience, preferably compliance training within the healthcare sector

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the BMS business, products, and culture.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional working teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Understanding of learning administration tool, learning management platforms, and global learning and development methodologies.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with multiple senior internal stakeholders and to facilitate/coordinate highly visible and time-sensitive enterprise strategy projects.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence and drive organizational engagement across functions and sites.
