Description of Job

This position is responsible for processing CBMS (Colorado Benefit Management System) applications using various interface applications. This position also assists with Department of Revenue destruction, hiring agency temporary employees, front desk coverage, building badge access for employees, and other special projects.

A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • CBMS Project Lead – This position is responsible for processing applications from initiation to completion, meeting all production standards. It is responsible for attending training in order to train and assist staff in using the system. Works with Colorado Department of Human Services and Office of Information Technology processing merges and communicating with caseworkers.

  • Tax Pipeline Tracking System, Temporary Employee processing, and Badge Access – Participates in the destruction of Department of Revenue documents by working to ensure all batches are confirmed within the system and pulling those that are not. Works with management and temporary agencies to ensure adequate levels of temporary staffing. Serves as back up to building badge requests, activation and tracking.

  • Department of Revenue Pipeline, Secretary of State, and Other Special Projects Support – Assists in data entry as needed for Pipeline and SOS Processing, maintaining production and error rate standards for both. Back up for pipeline exception processing and assists in prepping documents for scanning. Tracks process changes for projects.

  • Attendance and time record keeping – Ensures all time worked is tracked and clocked into the correct projects, notifying supervisor of needed corrections.

  • Front desk duties – Acts as backup for front desk, maintaining knowledge of procedures, greeting visitors and maintaining confidentiality. Also responsible for setting up new users, resetting passwords and deactivating users in Fairfax system

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Three (3) years of relevant experience in customer service that includes working with various stakeholders and vendors

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in customer service that includes working with various stakeholders and vendors equal to three (3) years

The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:

  • Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position

  • Experience working in a production environment

  • Proven experience accurately recording data and maintaining databases and spreadsheets

  • Proven experience generating reports and accurately providing data to others in understandable formats.

  • Knowledge of Colorado State Tax Forms

  • Prior experience working with or familiarity with Colorado Benefits Management System

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel at minimum

  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Etc)

  • General Experience with various office equipment

    Conditions of Employment:

  • A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

  • Department of Revenue Tax Check

  • Shift Work: Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift

    Appeal Rights:

    An applicant who has been removed from an employment list or removed from consideration during the selection process may request a review by the State Personnel Director.

    Review of the completed, signed and submitted appeal will be timely on the basis of written

This form must be completed and delivered to the State Personnel Board by email at dpa_state.personnelboard@state.co.us within ten (10) calendar days from your receipt of notice or acknowledgment of the Department’s action.
