We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Trade Operations Analyst (Internal Job Title: Cash and Trade Proc Analyst2 - C10) based in Penang, Malaysia. The Senior Trade Operations Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for executing Trade Advance transaction and handling day-to-day task related to team operation, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.

The overall objective is to act as a SME (subject matter expect) while processing all regular funds transfer, payments and trade transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all regular, which include processing of payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity flows.

  • Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend process improvements.

  • Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors.

  • Propose and implement solutions that will increase operating efficiency and lead to an improved client experience.

  • Assist efforts to help drive high rates of client adoption and satisfaction.

  • Ensure requirements are clearly stated and that business and client needs are met throughout development.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Responsible for day-to-day processing of Import Trade Advance transactions and deliver services as per agreed service standards and turnaround times with compliance to policies and procedures governing trade operations.

  • Participate in UAT/regression testing, understand the flow of the process, build/update standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for consistent improvement to ensure a LEAN process.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of work experience in international trade operations

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, fast learner and ability to adapt to constant change

  • Able to work independently and a dynamic team player who is able to work in a highly challenging work environment

  • Good knowledge of end-to-end process flow and application of finance/exchange rate/accounting entries treatments/funds transfers methodologies of Import Trade Advance

  • Proficient understanding of emerging technologies

  • Effective verbal and written skills

  • Effective analytic and presentation skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
