Administrative Assistant 2 Available Title(s): 105F-YNCSNPS - Administrative Assistant 2 Business Title: Administrative Assistant 2 Employee Type: Classified Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for providing confidential assistance and budget development to the Skagit County Director. In support of the positions listed above this position provides primary support related to confidential personnel issues, tenure and promotion; drafting correspondence; attends meetings as a representative as requested; plans travel; and compiles data for reports and presentations. This position also supervises an Office Assistant 3. Required Qualifications: • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher. • Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check. • Be able to work a flexible schedule during the week depending upon job demands and to spend some nights and weekend days away from home. • Be able to travel to WSU locations including outside the Skagit County. • Have, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver's license.
