Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Test Engineer. Note: US Citizenship Required As a Test Engineer, a typical day might include the following: * Evaluate new test technologies and methods. * Determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with engineering staff on new product design. * Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing products that meet customer objectives. * Train staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the laboratory floor. * Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies. * Follow SEL Values. * Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes. This job might be for you if you have: * A bachelor's in electrical or computer engineering * Experience designing and developing tests or working in an electrical lab * A solid foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering * Excellent writing and speaking skills * Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities * Ability to work cooperatively in team environment * Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills * Background check results satisfactory to SEL * Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing and testing * Skill in design and construction of electrical test fixtures * Familiarity with commercial and MIL-STD test methods * Experience in writing test procedures and test documentation * Knowledge of computer architecture and operation * Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C# * Experience with using version control systems such as Git Pullman, WA- SEL's corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Pay Range Data Test Engineer $88,000 - $108,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
