About the Division:

The Molecular Spectroscopy, part of the Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD). The products include FTIR (Mid, Near, and Far Infrared), UV-VISIBLE, Raman, NMR Spectroscopy, FTIR Microscope. These products are used in QA/QC, R&D laboratory, and Process monitoring. These products have applications in almost all market segments like Pharmaceutical, Polymer, Petrochemical, Automotive, Forensic etc.

Position Summary:

This position involves undertaking the Installation, Service, Maintenance & Field upgrades of the Thermo Fisher product portfolio of MSD-Molecular division with an objective to keep all the instruments operational as per technical specification and to achieve customer happiness.

Share experience and standard process of product services and applications with colleagues.

Accurately document field service activities, including installation report and service work

report, and timely submit through the required system. Contribute to ​knowledge base to allow continued improvement of work efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Meet or exceed business commercial plan.

  • To work closely with other functions like Sales, Supply Chain, Finance etc. and ensure we meet targeted organic growth for the business.

Job Requirement:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Electronics / E&C /Instrumentation /Biomedical

E xperience levels

  • Around 5 years experienced in of service support on Molecular Spectroscopy instruments like FTIR, UV-Vis etc.

Skills

  • Candidate should have experience of interacting and handling customers.

  • Knowledge of Principle of operation and applications of these instruments will be added advantage for the deserving candidate

  • Ability to plan and ensure timely execution of PM, BD and installations.

  • Knowledge & experience of component level fault finding, and repair will be added advantage.

  • It is encouraged that candidate will have experience of handling Microsoft OS, both new & older versions.

  • The position requires extensive travelling and should be ready to travel in a short notice
