Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. Regional Safety Manager in Quakertown, Pennsylvania
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc (GTA) is seeking a Regional Safety Manager for our Northern region. This position can reside in one of the following offices: Quakertown or Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; Newark, Delaware or Somerset, New Jersey. The Regional Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety program and policies within the assigned region. This role involves ensuring compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and providing training and guidance to employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in implementing safety programs, covering accident investigation, prevention, motor vehicle safety, confined space, hearing conservation, job safety, supervisor auditing, and other OSHA and company mandated programs
Disseminate safety information to all levels of company personnel
Present Safety Orientation Training for all new employees
Schedule mandated training sessions with supervisors
Collect accident and injury statistics, audit reports, safety meeting records, inspection forms, and other required data for company and client management
Create Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Health & Safety Plans (HASP), and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) for projects as needed
Maintain company/office training records and develop/present reports as needed
Conduct job site and equipment inspections, accident or incident investigations, work site interviews, and data analysis to identify trends
Collaborate with Managers and Employees on safety issues and provide assistance on safety, risk, and accident prevention concerns
Design, coordinate, and disseminate safety meeting topics, newsletters, safety flashes, and incident reviews
Assist with department safety committees or projects as needed
Provide research, technical expertise, and analysis, making recommendations to management on safety issues, programs, topics, or enforcement concerns
Perform related work as required
FIELD SAFETY MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
Up to 3 years of relevant experience
OSHA Construction/General Industry Outreach Trainer and/or First-Aid and CPR certification is a plus
Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) or Certified Health & Safety Technician (CHST) a plus
Some overnight travel may be required, with primary responsibilities in Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania, and New Jersey
Bachelors Degree in Safety or related field, preferred
