We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our organization supporting the US Operations Group. The position will report to the Director, Human Resources - Operations, and will be based in the Queensbury, NY Office.The HR Generalist will support all facets of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, HR reporting, training and development, talent acquisition support, labor relations, mobility program, employee engagement and policy administration ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Responsibilities•Partner with HR Business Services Group (BSG) including Payroll, Benefits, HR Data/IT, and HR Administrators to provide full employee life cycle HR support for US employees.•Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and proactively address and resolve employee issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Responsible for the management and responsive to the HR inbox inquiries.•Responsible for maintaining HR records, managing the DOT compliance program and coordinating seasonal employee onboarding.•Coordinate annual actions required by various collective bargaining agreements.•Partner with the Talent Acquisition team regarding recruitment activities including candidate screening and interviewing scheduling, onboarding, company training, mobility, and internal relocation or secondment activities as needed.•Prepare HR reporting data and assist in the creation of presentations for senior leadership meetings.•Support HR management processes including leadership development, performance improvement, diversity initiatives, employee engagement, and organizational design.•Promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.•Other HR work as assigned.Experience•Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organization Development, or a people-related field preferred.•Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience including experience with onboarding, recruitment, performance management and compensation data management, union experience preferred.•Experience using Human Resources Information Systems.•Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.•Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.•Previous experience supporting multiple US states and experience supporting Canadian employees a plus.•Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support, communicate and influence across all parts of the organization, including with remote teams.•Ability to anticipate HR challenges and proactively take steps to mitigate risks.•The ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff to develop strong working relationships with individuals across the company.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills•Positive attitude with an agile mindset•Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + 5% Variable Bonus Eligibility
