Position Description This position is accountable for all operations pertaining to Modine\'s Chemical Compounding Lab including production, quality control, shipping and receiving, purchasing of materials and supplies, and other administrative tasks. The main objective is to produce and ship high quality, environmentally friendly process chemicals to Modine Manufacturing plants at a price significantly lower than obtained from a commercial supplier. Additionally, this position will participate in regional and global multifunctional teams and will demonstrate creativity and mature judgment in the planning, organization, and supporting the introduction of new process chemicals into manufacturing plants. Key Responsibilities Oversee the operation of the Compound Lab, including, but not limited to: production, purchase raw materials and maintain current pricing from suppliers, maintain inventory, prepare bill of lading, coordinate equipment repair and new equipment purchases. Assist in financial activities, both monthly and quarterly. Champion corporate safety program. Remain compliant with OSHA regulations, Department of Transportation (shipping hazardous materials) regulations and Hazwopper certification through internal and external training. Resolve any discrepancies in monthly inventories on raw materials and finished products. Oversee weekly production schedule Responsible for workload delegation Create a plan of action for production/finished product problems and carry out and have an active role in new process chemical formulation Perform QC analysis on finished products.
