Advance Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring prior preparations, tools and equipment are ready for production to start on time and, where it is not, taking ownership of finding workaround solutions prior to manufacture.

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects from a Manufacturing Readiness perspective.

  • The ability to create and analyze mechanical designs of tooling and technologies, using calculations, finite analysis methods and CAD/Soildworks (including preparations of technical drawings and Bills of Materials where required).

  • Interacting with Manufacturing Engineers, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in Engineering design reviews and supplier tooling design discussions to ensure their needs are met for problem-free builds.

  • Providing technical leadership and active support of the project builds during execution.

  • Establishing production test methods for monitoring quality and repeatability.

  • Planning and coordinating the installation/commissioning of new plant equipment and project tooling,

  • Collaborate with plant engineers and leadership to reach production output goals by improving processes and reducing downtime.

  • Communicate results of process studies, project progress, etc. to leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • International and Domestic Travel could be up to 20 – 30%. (US Visa is a requirement)

  • Good organizational, time management, and decision-making skills. Methodical worker with attention to detail.

  • Structured in approach and well organized.

  • A team-player who communicates openly.

  • Excellent Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of design and visualization software. Autocad and SoildWorks knowledge

  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined project team

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.

  • 3 – 5 years of high-volume automated manufacturing experience successfully managing projects and providing process improvements to operations. Preference is experience in electric motor manufacturing.
