Job Overview

L&H Companies has an immediate opening for a Controller/Accounting Team Manager. The Position will be directly responsible for the daily transactions of finance and accounting. This position is based at our headquarters located in Reading, PA and reports to the Owner/CEO. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver who is a strategic and collaborative member of the Executive Leadership team. This position will drive results versus simply reporting financial data. Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.  

Essential Functions

  • Record daily/monthly accounting journal entries.
  • Serve as Lead point of contact in ERP software implementation.  Lead all A/R and A/P functions including performing weekly collections.
  • Accurately monitor and report on daily cash flows and reconciliation.
  • Perform Month End Tasks including various ledger reconciliations.
  • Publish monthly financial reporting and income statements for leadership team.
  • Supervise a staff of 3 individuals in accounting and finance.
  • Coordinate and process all tax filing requirements with external CPA firm(s).
  • Prepare budgets, projections, billing, and other financial analysis as required.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end analysis.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting and financial procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between lenders and L&H Signs, provide financial reporting required by lending covenants.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting, or another business-related field (CPA or MBA a plus).

``` - Experience in a market segment with continuous growth. - Experience of 3-5 plus years in a direct transactional accounting role (preferably a manufacturing company). - Experience job costing and product costing. - At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role overseeing 3 or more staff members (preferred). - Possess forward-thinking and strategic business acumen. - High level skillset in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel. - Working knowledge of finance and accounting software programs. - Possess an aptitude for routine work, have strong organizations skills, and is detail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities. - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. - An exceptionally strong work ethic with the ability to work flexible hours to ensure that the job function is complete and accurate in a timely manner.
