As an Engineer for Hardware Design at Ossia, you will be responsible for developing the electrical design of next generation wireless power systems. This hands-on role requires basic knowledge in electrical circuit design involving digital and analog circuits utilizing components such as microcontrollers, memory IC’s, power supply regulators, A/D and D/A converters.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with other engineers, schematic and bill-of-material (BOM) creation.

  • Printed circuit board (PCB) design.

  • Component selection.

  • Design documentation

  • Test procedure design and implementation.

  • Significant lab work involving testing circuit boards including initial bring-up and debug.

  • Working closely with other team members such as mechanical, RF, antenna, firmware, and test engineers.

  • Assist in the integration and test of the final system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant hardware design experience, including product development

  • Experienced in the design of printed circuit boards (PCBs) at frequencies of 2–10GHz.

  • Strong knowledge writing python and shell scripts

  • Experience with Altium 365 including managed library components, database libraries, multi-channel designs.

  • A proven track record of taking products from concept through to volume production.

  • Knowledge of the new product development process and best practices to create a quality design while working within schedule and cost constraints.

  • Understanding of how to design for low cost, manufacturability, and reliability.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Education:

  • BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Salary Range: 120–150K, plus bonus and equity
