The Company and the Role:

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Supervisor for aggregates and recycling operations to join our team. This role has responsibilities at our Redmond, WA and North Bend, WA sites and may be based out of either location. This position ensures the safe day-to-day production process is optimized and runs efficiently with both internal and subcontracted activities at the designated aggregates and recycling operations. This individual will report into Operations Manager – Aggregates.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Plans and schedules plant operations at two sites based on maximizing productivity and best utilization of manpower, resources, and equipment.

  • Supervises and directs production crews to complete tasks required and communicates annual and daily performance targets.

  • Contribute to our sustainability and circular economy goals through the receipt, processing, and management of recycled concrete.

  • Reports daily production as well as tracks KPI’s of plant performance.

  • Ensures material production meets quality control standards.

  • Develops mine plans and works closely with subject matter experts in accessing and optimizing the usage of existing reserves.

  • Schedule plant and mobile equipment repair and maintenance internally and with outside vendors

  • Ensures proper staffing levels are always kept for the efficiency of the plants.

  • Promotes safe work habits and provides safe working conditions – lead daily meetings, ensures job tasks are completed as per procedure, and demonstrates leadership in all company safety policies.

  • Manages the P&L for both sites.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, post secondary or technical trade certification plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining, materials recycling, construction, maintenance, or equipment operation in supervisory roles.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations; ability to rigorously enforce safe operations.

  • Proven leadership skills and abilities; experience with a unionized workforce is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to lead meetings.

  • Advanced critical thinking skills.

  • Equipment operation and production optimization experience.

  • Prior mining experience preferred.

  • Able to proactively manage health & safety of employees

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft software programs (Teams, Excel, Power Point, and Word)

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Mechanical experience with process equipment (i.e., jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, classifiers, etc.) is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

  • $96,700 - $136,390 annual salary

Conditions of Employment:

Work Environment:

  • Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, dust, humidity, and elevated noise level.

  • Must have a driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle in both highway conditions and over rough terrain.
