Insight Global Technical Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Technical Program Manager in Redmond, WA. Immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager. You will be responsible for developing and managing projects related to Kuiper Program. The projects require timely execution with the highest degrees of security, performance, availability, and reliability. This position requires a technical and program management background and direct experience developing relevant systems. You will create and drive high-level strategic initiatives but will also roll up your sleeves and contribute directly by digging deep into the configuration data. A Senior TPM anticipates bottlenecks, uses great judgment to make trade-offs, and balances the business needs with technical constraints. Your ability to understand the big picture of the project design and anticipate and plan dependencies is crucial. Your ability to take large, complex projects, break them into manageable pieces, and deliver timely results is invaluable. You will work with a team of experts and drive the team to successfully accomplish the following activities:

  • Support Principal TPM and Sr TPMs responsible for Engineering Change Control, Build and Testing of Satellites

  • Coordinate and control engineering changes across a significant number of cross-functional engineering, production, and program-wide teams

  • Coordinate and manage alignment, trade studies and analyses necessary to ensure that changes retain compliance with the technical design, interfaces, requirements, and programmatic schedule, cost and production requirements.

  • Expert level in using Smartsheet in developing schedules, reports, Engineering Change Trackers etc.

  • Support Principal TPM in Program managing like tracking of actions, minutes, schedules and conducting the meetings.

  • Learn the Team Center Tool and generate reports out of it.

  • Innovate and evolve Change Control mechanisms as the project evolves through its life cycle.

  • Support the project Change Control Board and mechanisms. Manage timeline, dependencies, and deliverables for engineering changes.

  • Coordinate the work with teams developing other systems as well as assembly, integration and tests.

  • Optimize the velocity of engineering development through the design and application of mechanisms.

  • Manage timeline, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • The work will include but not limited to day to day management/tracking/follow up of Smartsheet schedules/dependencies, generate executive level reports, managing JIRA system/reporting for Risks/issues tracking and creating dashboards.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience with Configuration Management and Product Life cycle Management

  • Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM)

-Technical engineering degree required. Aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering and computer science would be preferred and ideal.

  • Good track record of working effectively with across different groups in the organization

  • A record of successful delivery of hardware and software products from conception through business case and customer deployment

  • Ability to work the business side of projects to drive deployment of new products

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skills

  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Should be very experienced with Smartsheet, Confluence or Jira - Technical engineering degree in Aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering and computer science

  • Experience with Engineering Change Control null
