Job Title: Manufacturing Operator - Swing Shift

Job Description

As a Machine Operator for the Monolithic department, you will work in a team environment and operate heavy manufacturing equipment. This role requires the ability to work, communicate, and participate in a lean and fast-changing environment. You will interface with computer-controlled systems and frequently troubleshoot both mechanical and computer equipment issues. Accurate data entry and following written instructions using the shop floor computer system are essential. Team members are also expected to participate in meetings, give and receive feedback, manage emails, and engage in housekeeping and safety activities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate wire braiding machine, electrical crimping/sparking station, and Reel machine.

  • Perform machine operation and data entry tasks.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and computer equipment issues.

  • Accurately enter data and follow written instructions using the shop floor computer system.

  • Participate in team activities, including meetings, feedback sessions, and safety activities.

Essential Skills

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

  • Data entry skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Experience with SAP or any ERP system is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency with computer skills (Excel, Outlook) is an asset.

  • Motivated by challenges and problem-solving.

  • Capable of participating in LEAN exercises.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Work Environment

This is a loud, industrial manufacturing environment. You will be required to wear goggles and earplugs on the floor. The role involves occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, frequent pulling, pushing, grabbing, bending, stooping, or kneeling. You must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift, clearly view and interpret information, and use a computer monitor for extended periods during normal working hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redwood City, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.42 - $24.42/hr.
