True Classic Business Intelligence Senior Data Analyst in Remote, California

This is an exciting time to join us as a Senior Data Analyst, where you'll have unparalleled exposure to senior leadership, including direct interaction with the president and founders.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Lead end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) projects, from sourcing and modeling data to delivering intuitive Tableau dashboards and ad hoc analyses.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that visualize data insights and performance metrics for executive leadership.

  • Drive the development and management of divisional scorecards and ad hoc reporting across finance, merchandising, operations, supply chain, marketing, CRM, site merchandising and more.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements through data insights.

  • Share actionable recommendations based on data analysis to optimize customer growth and bottom-line impact.

  • Communicate complex data insights and models to non-technical stakeholders and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Build trust in Business Data by establishing and managing data catalogs and documentation. Establish and uphold data governance and documentation practices to ensure high data quality and reliability.

  • Drive day-to-day service delivery for BI platform, leading initiatives to improve long-term performance, system stability, scalability, and resilience of services.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making within the organization.

  • Develop compelling presentations tailored for executive audiences, highlighting strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Facilitate widespread adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization by conducting dashboard training sessions and championing data democratization initiatives.

About You:

  • Experience: You bring 5+ years of experience in data analytics with a focus on building and managing data models, creating visualizations and providing data-driven recommendations to the business.

  • Technical Skills: Mastery of SQL is essential, along with experience working with large datasets across various database technologies.

  • BI Tools: Deep knowledge of data visualization best practices; proficiency with Tableau preferred.

  • Analytical Acumen: A strong understanding of analytical approaches, both quantitative and qualitative, and their application in driving business strategies.

  • Strategic Thinker: Proven success in using data insights to impact business strategies and outcomes.

  • Communication: Excellent data storytelling skills, adept at translating complex findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Leadership: Passion for managing and developing high-performing analytics products, influencing key business decisions through data.
