Job description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Data Stewards to join our team and help us with keeping our core data domains up to date, and accurate and facilitate the usage of the master data and segmentations across Norstella. You will be responsible for the management and ownership of the Norstella Customer Master Database and other core data hierarchies, ensuring its optimal functionality and reliability. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing and maintaining robust data governance practices across the organization.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the customer master data and other core hierarchies.

  • Assuring quality of and improving trust in master data quality, consistency and completeness among users

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements for customer segmentation and how it can be used across Norstella

  • Regularly update and refine segmentation within the master data to support commercial growth

  • Assign segments to new accounts as they are identified in a timely matter to ensure correct pricing is used for quoting.

  • Acting as the point of contact for change/challenge or potential impact on data and collaborating with relevant data groups

  • Work closely with Salesforce administrators to integrate customer segmentation across multiple Salesforce instance.

  • Develop and review reporting to ensure consistency for accounts common across instances.

  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of the data landscape primarily in Salesforce.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on Establishing data-quality metrics and requirements, including defining the values, ranges, and parameters that are acceptable for each critical data element

  • Ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality, the identification of anomalies and discrepancies, and the contribution of expertise to understand the root cause

  • Monitoring lifecycle of the master data

  • Facilitating development and consistent use of Data Standards and Procedures, Standard master data management-related definitions, Data resources

  • Collaborate with the Data & Integrations Hub on changes needed for the Customer Master and relevant data hierarchies

  • Work with the Business Intelligence and Data Hub team to develop insights where Customer Segmentation is required.

  • Providing expert knowledge (including internal and external standards) and proficiency in understanding and usage for a given master domain

  • Providing insights into how and where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making

  • Collaborate with the Data & Integrations Hub on changes needed for the Customer Master and relevant data hierarchies

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in data management in Commercial and Customer data domain

  • Understanding the sales operations processes and flows

  • Knowledge of Customer Segmentation scoring techniques

  • Familiarity with the Customer Databases like Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, Bains, allowing for prospecting and deeper market penetration.

  • Hands on experience in data management and master data technologies and concepts

  • Strong analytical ability and able to prioritize multiple projects

  • Good understanding of database structures, master data management tools, technologies and concepts

  • Strong data analytics and SQL, Microsoft Excel skills

  • Salesforce experience is preferred

  • Good understanding of Masterdata management

  • Salesforce experience and account hierarchies

  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated skills in relationship building, creating trust, and fostering collaboration between multiple organizations including cross-functional teams

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI
