GE Vernova Technical Document Control Specialist in Remote, New York
Job Description Summary
The Technical Document Control Specialist is a key member of the Product Assurance team, working closely with a global team of engineers, product managers, and project managers to create, revise, and manage internal and customer documentation for both new and existing energy storage products. This role contributes to the continuous improvement of our documentation toolset and development processes.

Roles and Responsibilities
Deeply understand products to translate complex information into clear and engaging content.
Translate complex product information into clear, engaging content.
Develop and manage a structured documentation system and reference database.
Create user-friendly materials to meet audience needs and ensure success.
Oversee content flow, ensuring complete and cohesive customer documentation.
Review and enhance content with innovative solutions.
Coordinate with engineering teams and edit for clarity, technical accuracy, and formatting.
Develop and maintain standard templates for critical and frequently used documents, including but not limited to:
Operation and Maintenance Manuals
Installation and Commissioning Manuals
Product Specifications
Product Use Guides
Data Sheets
Product Brochures
Safety Response Procedures
Standard Work or Standard Operating Procedures
Adhere to Vernova's technical publication and branding standards.
Develop and implement a comprehensive user documentation strategy.
Collaborate globally to enhance and centralize documentation.
Create compliant templates for efficient data migration.
Produce consistent, user-friendly content across media formats.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an Associate's degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of technical writing experience with power electronic products such as solar inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or power system controls.
Desired Characteristics
Proficient in English for effective documentation updates.
Skilled in collaborating with remote, cross-time-zone teams.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Knowledgeable in engineering drawings, bills of materials, and O&M manuals.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret EPLAN Schematics, Single Line Diagrams, and ProE Models and drawings.
