Noblis Energy Program Analyst in Reston, Virginia

Responsibilities

Overview:

On Noblis’ energy and sustainability team, we are dedicated to addressing our planet’s and Nation's biggest energy challenges, including climate change and energy resilience. We are seeking a professional who will be a member of our team supporting Federal government partners. Our energy and sustainability team conducts analysis that supports development of policy and provides energy and sustainability subject matter expertise in support of energy initiatives across the United States Government. As an energy program analyst on our team, you will support a number of efforts, including energy use analysis, energy resilience initiatives, policy development, and technology reviews for our clients. You may engage in other initiatives as well, such as strategy development and coordination with DoD components.

Responsibilities:

  • Support energy policy and resilience initiatives, as well we participating in sustainability planning

  • Provide energy programming and budgetary alignment support to clients in evaluating available resources.

  • Support development of literacy and workforce training resources to advance energy initiatives.

  • Develop Congressional reports on government energy use and technology development activities.

  • Coordinate between government agencies and establish working groups as needed to ensure cooperation and leadership on energy initiatives.

  • Provide analysis of energy data to provide solutions and strategies for resilience and efficiency efforts.

  • Provide support for initiatives that automate and improve data collection efforts.

  • Provide talking points and presentations to senior leaders on ongoing and future energy initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or other relevant fields

  • 3+ years of experience (or a Master's degree + 1 year experience)

  • Knowledge of government energy resilience or sustainability initiatives

  • Experience analyzing energy initiatives for the Federal government

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Presentation skills and experience presenting to technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Experience in using spreadsheets and databases to perform data analysis

  • Works well in a geographically diverse team environment

  • U.S. Citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or other relevant fields

  • Knowledge of DoD Programming and Budget cycle

  • Experience with DoD installation or operational energy offices

  • Experience on projects with the United States Federal Government, including grant programs

  • Strong data analysis skills in Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and/or R

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $74,500.00 - USD $116,425.00 /Yr.
