Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Shipwright. This is a permanent position with opportunities for cross-training and other duties.
Responsibilities
Interpret naval architecture and design drawings including structural, arrangement, section, and elevation drawings.
Use all power tools, table saws, band saws, jointers, planers, etc.
Utilize hand tools, grinders, saws, drills, tap and die sets, etc.
Construct multi-shaped molds and structures based on design information.
Set up, fit, and install large parts, superstructures, bulkheads, decks, etc.
Install machinery and equipment based on design parameters.
Set up and install all manner of ship hardware and outfitting, exterior glass, watertight doors, handrails, and steps.
Perform fabrication work including stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.
Set up and install various decking materials, teak decking, and synthetic materials.
Essential Skills
3+ years of shipwright experience.
3+ years of experience with hand tools, grinders, saws, drills, tap and die sets, etc.
3+ years of experience with power tools, table saws, band saws, jointers, planers, etc.
3+ years of experience with FRP epoxies, sealants, and adhesives.
3+ years of experience with fabrication of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hydraulics.
Confined space training.
Forklift experience.
Marine experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Must be reliable, honest, and punctual.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to new procedures.
Positive attitude and flexibility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
