Actalent Project Architect in RICHMOND, Virginia

Job Title: Project ArchitectJob Description

We are seeking a passionate architect to join our rapidly growing architecture team in Richmond. Our office is focused on expanding its local and national presence in the healthcare and higher education sectors. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other architects, engineers, and clients in a fast-paced environment, running projects from start to finish while mentoring junior staff on larger projects. This role offers a path to career advancement based on your goals and aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver projects

  • Run projects from start to finish

  • Mentor junior staff on larger projects

  • Attend client meetings (15%-35% of time)

  • Engage in project production (50%-70% of time)

  • Handle construction administration tasks (15% of time)

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Experience in commercial design, particularly in healthcare, higher education, and multifamily projects

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience in architectural design and construction administration

  • Proficiency in creating construction documents and design development

  • Experience with AutoCAD

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • B. Arch or M.Arch degree from an accredited program

  • 7-10+ years of architectural experience, with a preference for healthcare-specific experience

  • Current or imminent registration or enrollment in NCARB IDP

  • LEED, WELL, or other specialized credentials are a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.86/hr.
