Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a graduation date in 2026 or 2027.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

  • 10-week commitment for 40 hours per week with availability to start June 9th, 2025.

  • Must be able to commute to the office to work at least 3 days onsite.

Position Summary:

As an Application Modernization Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to modernize software, optimize performance, and enhance scalability. You'll gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerization, microservices, and automation tools while helping to refactor and migrate applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between traditional and modern technology stacks, making a direct impact on business efficiency. You'll collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement best practices, improve system reliability, and drive innovation. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to containerize applications; including writing Dockerfiles, managing Kubernetes manifests (YAML), and configuring container orchestration.

  • Support the integration enterprise logging and monitoring solutions utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK Stack.

  • Create and maintain metrics collections, log aggregation, and dashboard visualization to enhance overall system observability.

  • Enhance system reliability by providing better visibility into application performance and operational issues, supporting our system uptime and incident response KPIs.

  • Contribute to training manual, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar education path.

  • Basic understanding of Containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Shell scripting).

  • Familiarity of Linux environments and basic command-line operations.

  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring concepts and best practices.

  • Proficiency in at least one (1) programming language (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python)

  • Strong communication, written, and problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
