Job Summary:

Morton Salt's Rittman, OH location has an immediate opening for a Dry End Production Manager. The right individual will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of one or more production areas within the facility, planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of the manufacturing process such as environmental compliance, production/processing, quality control, and maintenance. This individual is accountable for Mill and Loading/Warehousing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures department goals are aligned with plant business imperatives, and that performance goals are met.
• Accountable for the Dry End Operations (including the Mill, Loading, and Warehousing operations), site maintenance and reliability coordination and production planning in accordance with demand.
• Develops area manufacturing strategy and cascades the strategy to establish individual employee expectations.
• Ensures compliance with corporate, environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Manages area budget/cost, volume, and quality. Manages small project capital budget.
• Manages employee and labor relations matters in conjunction with Human Resources, as appropriate.
• Fosters a culture focused on problem solving and process improvement, promoting open and honest communication.
• Performs other related duties, as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related technical degree, required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' manufacturing experience, including a minimum of three (3) years' production/technical/maintenance management experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years' management experience preferred.
• Demonstrates respect, inclusion, cooperation, and responsibility (RICR).

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Works in general office and manufacturing plant environment.
• Works in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
• Performs office or clerical duties including use of office tools.
• Travels between office and plan environments of varied temperatures and humidity.
• Climbs stairs and wears personal protective equipment, as required.
