Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

  • Manage contract variations and claims.

  • Develop and manage project budgets.

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within budget.

  • Prepare cost reports and financial statements.

  • Identify and assess commercial risks associated with projects.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee the procurement process, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.

  • Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Address and resolve any commercial issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

What Skill's are Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and financial reporting tools.

  • Ability to work on-site and travel as required.
