Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Health & Safety Engineer to join our team on Qiddiya! This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of one of the most transformative projects in Saudi Arabia's history, a visionary giga-project that aims to create a world-class entertainment, sports, and cultural destination.
In this role you will get to assist a project or program manager in ensuring that the site-specific SH&E plans, workplaces, and operational tasks being conducted conform to Parsons' risk management practices and comply with the prevailing regulatory and client SH&E requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
Advise, guide and support managers in the implementation of Health & Safety practices both on site and within the office environment; working closely with stakeholders to ensure that Health & Safety procedures and policies are being appliedon a Project level.
Undertake the role of lead contact to senior management for advice and recommendations regarding Safety related issues.
Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required.
Ensure Project wide compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
Advise and supervise Contractors in a broad range of safety and health hazard prevention and enforcement to the Contractors and project personnel’s on sites.
Coordinate closely with Client's Quality, Health and Safety Department on Safety requirement and reporting to minimize work construction disruption on site.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Health & Safety Management.
Preferably 7 years’ experience in construction projects.
Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association e.g. NEBOSH;
Must demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to existing construction sites.
Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
Must possess leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of H&S Inspectors;
Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple working areas on site are essential.
