Staff Heads LLC Industrial Robot Programmer Technician Trainee in Rochester Hills, Michigan

**POSITION:  INDUSTRIAL ROBOT PROGRAMMER TECHNICIAN -- TRAINEE

**

Job Summary:

A Robot Programmer is a technical hands-on position involving setting-up/programming the robots at customer locations in the greater southeastern Michigan area.  This position requires candidates to enroll in a company sponsored training program of up to 30 days to learn the necessary entry level skills and furthermore pass an assessment before hire. Local travel in southeastern Michigan is required and may include occasional out of state travel to follow projects through completion.

Position Notes:

  • A Robot Trainee is an entry-level robot programmer position no experience is necessary.
  • Self-motivated and technically savvy individual who can work alone as well as in a team environment to apply for this position.
  • This position will require candidates to work overtime, possible day or nights as well as weekends and holidays due to the nature of the manufacturing industry.
  • The ability to communicate, both written and orally in the work environment is a must.
  • Submit proper customer and Staff Heads paperwork required for billing as required.
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must adhere to all Staff Heads policies and procedures.
  • Reliable transportation a must.
  • Extensive travel is possible depending on the type of job the programmer is assigned to.
  • Ability to perform robotic path and position touchups
  • Ability to adjust the robot dress pack in order to prevent rubbing.
  • Ability to accept a task and duplicate it on all robots including axis limits, hard stops, etc.
  • Able to back up robot programs.
  • Teach and verify TCP's and Frames
  • Ability to Load Offline Programs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Please note performing the duties of this position requires the employee to move in and around tooling, stand for long periods of time as well as climbing ladders regularly.
  • The applicant will be required, as needed, to load parts into tools, they must be able to lift at least 25lbs.

Position Criteria:

  • Crossover skills -- Computer programming, FIRST Robotics, automotive repair, fabrication, electrical, mechanical, design/build
  • Follow all customer and plant safety protocols.
  • Provide weekly time accounting for Staff Heads and assigned customer
