Insight Global Night Shift Production Supervisor in Rockford, Minnesota

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor in Rockford, MN. The plant operates on a 223 schedule and this opening is for night shift-- 12 hour shifts. This position works closely with the Plant Manager & Production Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the manufacturing plant. The overarching objective is to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications while ensuring the health and safety of the workforce. The Supervisor will oversee their team, performance and goals. This key leader will oversee production in a manner that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.

  • Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.

  • Walk around Review: Observe performance, line conditions, CILS, Safety, Quality and Coaching of employees.

  • Review Key Performance Indicators (OEE, Yield, Material Variance and Utilization) daily and weekly report. Action plan to reduce the top three losses of waste/time on your shift.

  • Review Production Report for Errors.

  • Check staffing at the beginning of each shift and monitor absences. Document attendance and file with Human Resources.

  • Coaching employees to ensure consistency with policy and procedures. Communicate employee concerns with Production Manager and Human Resources.

  • Responsible for Employee Hours records: Time and Attendance

  • Answer phone calls during off hours/weekend. Check e-mails and respond promptly. Review mailroom for information.

  • Responsible for security checks to ensure plant is secure during off hours and weekends.

  • Verify truck loading against weekend/night load schedules during gate calls.

Skills and Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Must have at least five years of plant experience, to include supervisory experience.

  • Lean manufacturing and Continuous improvement

  • Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office). SAP or similar software experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills and problem-solving ability.

  • Effective communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills SAP or similar software experience preferred. null
