S&K Electronics in Pablo is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager.. Functional Role: The basic function of the Quality Assurance Manager is to provide the necessary leadership, planning, direction, organization and control to meet the goals of the company. Special Conditions: This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the S&K Electronics, Inc. Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy PPpo-140. The successful applicant, if not already employed by SKE, must pass a pre-hire drug test. Incumbents will be subject to random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing. Requirements: A. Education Required: Associates Degree and 5 years? experience in related area. Preferred: B.S. Engineering or Management B. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Assurance or related fields. C. Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Able to demonstrate effective leadership and communications skills in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in general business and management principles. Have the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Able to use analytical and observation skills for comparison of work products to predetermined standards. D. Physical: Body Position: standing and sitting. Body Movements: carrying, use of hands, eyes, arms and voice. E. Mental: Require excellent command of the English language in reading, writing, spelling and oral communications. General business math skills, accounting principles and the ability to problem solve and provide leadership. Technical knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures. F. Working Condition: Office environment, light manufacturing shop environment. Reporting Relationships: A. The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the President. B. Receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and the Quality Assurance Coordinator report to the Quality Assurance Manager. Authority: The Quality Assurance Manager is given all authority necessary to conduct, manage and administer the operations of the Company by the President. This authority includes but is not limited to: A. Authority to reject materials and components not meeting quality standards. B. Authority to reject or require rework on completed items if the required standards are not met. Responsibilities: The principal responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager consist of, but are not limited to, the following: A. Provides guidance, counsel, direction, support, training and expertise to Quality Assurance and Production personnel. B. Sets limits for the activities of employees so that the Company can proceed toward established objectives without undue involvement by the President in the day-to-day activities. C. Formulates the Quality Assurance operations budget. D. The Quality Assurance Manager is ultimately responsible to management for the successful performance of all department employees. E. Takes reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities of management, so long as such action does not deviate from established Company policies and is consistent with sound business judgment. F. In conjunction with contract requirements, reviews and approves manufacturing and assembly instructions for adequate point of inspection operations and determines appropriate documentation for inspection points. Assists with development of finished product and component receiving inspection procedures and requirements for all projects. G. Reviews, verifies and maintains quality assurance records as required. H. Participates in the review of design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation to assure conformance to quality control standards. I. Reviews implementation of engineering changes. J. Ensures that quality assurance activities are in concurrence with the production schedule. K. Establishes performance objectives for QA Coordinator and meets with QA Coordinator on a periodical basis to provide feedback. L. Participates in all departmen planning, operational, budgetary and training meetings. M. Act as the company Management Representative. N. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.
