Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician complies with OSHA standards and responds to emergency situations to ensure employee, patient, and facility safety. Candidates will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and building components. With minimal supervision, candidates will diagnose mechanical problems, offer solutions, and act to ensure the safety, care, and comfort of staff and patients. Professionalism, appearance, and quality workmanship are key.
Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and provide solutions to ensure safety and comfort.
Respond to emergency situations to ensure safety of employees, patients, and the facility.
Comply with OSHA standards.

3.5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in the construction field
1.5+ years of experience in maintenance with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
Usage of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and electrical testing devices
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
Direct hospital or large-scale hotel/building maintenance experience (nice to have)
Knowledge of Austin amendments to the code (nice to have)
Degree from a trade school (nice to have)
Veterans from Navy or Army (nice to have)

Work Environment
Candidates will perform maintenance within new construction and existing commercial buildings. The work schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends and on-call schedules (one week on call every 6-8 weeks). Candidates should be open to all shifts, including 7 AM to 3:30 PM, 3 PM to 11:30 PM, and 11 PM to 7:30 AM. Evening or night shifts may be required when needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
