Robert Half Staff Accountant in Russellville, Kentucky

Description We are looking for a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team in Russellville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in auditing activities, and performing data entry tasks. Your responsibilities will extend to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance

• Ensure compliance with organizational accounting standards and regulations

• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in auditing activities

• Perform administrative duties such as managing company ledgers, overseeing payroll, and preparing taxes

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts analysis and provide relevant advice and detailed reports to management

• Perform data entry tasks, preserving, updating, and verifying the financial data

• Work closely with other team members to assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities

• Utilize accounting tools and software such as Microsoft Excel and InfoSource SAP for efficient task completion

• Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations, and handle tasks related to journal entries and month-end close. Requirements • Possess a clear understanding of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated knowledge in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in performing Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with SAP and InfoSource SAP is desired

• Open to all candidates regardless of years of experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus, but not required

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
