Sutter Health Project Manager, Facilities III in Sacramento, California

SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview:

Represents Sutter Health in capital improvement projects, including new development, facility expansion, renovation and retrofitting. Coordinates, monitors, and reports on design and construction activities in accordance with the internal departmental project controls requirements. Is responsible for administering consultant and construction agreements. Facilitates quality control, maintenance of design and construction schedules, construction management, and owner representative responsibilities. Manages small project delivery team staffs to provide coordinated expertise, standardized tools and project management advice to the internal stakeholders. Demonstrates a mastery of project management skills, works with a high degree of autonomy, and is responsible for delivering large scale projects with moderate to difficult complexity.

This role will be a combination of work from home and onsite work.

Job Description :

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Architecture, Engineering or Const. Management, or other closely related field or equivalent education/experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • 5 years experience of project management in the delivery of health care facilities and related construction projects.

  • 5 years experience on projects including medical office buildings, acute care general hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and psychiatric hospitals from programming through facility activation

  • 5 years experience with responsibility of the delivery of projects exceeding $5 million construction cost.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Must be familiar with health care construction building codes and regulations, space programming and allocation cost analysis, discretionary approval processes, construction means and methods, construction processes and procedures, and contract implementation.

  • Must be familiar with the State of California building approval processes including OSHPD, the State Fire Marshall and municipal discretionary approvals, as well as TJC regulation.

  • Must have expertise in project management techniques and software.

  • Verbal and written communication skills as well as team skills to ensure appropriate communications and coordination across project delivery team, affiliate and vendors.

  • Client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between fps and affiliate leadership.

  • Able to manage and delegate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff.

Pay Range is $57.22 to $85.83 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
