First Ward Community Services Adult Group Lead in Saginaw, Michigan

First Ward Community center is a vibrant hub for youth development and community engagement. We are committed to providing a safe and supportave enviroment where youth can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join our team as an Adult Group Leaders. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and leading groups of young adults aged 16 to 19 in various activities and programs at our community center.

You will serve as a positive role model, mentor, and advocate for the participants, promoting their personal development, well-being, and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities, workshops, and events for young adults.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to participants, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of participants during program hours and off-site activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement program curriculum and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate participant progress and program effectiveness, adjusting as needed to meet goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, participant feedback, and program documentation.
  • Stay informed about relevant youth development trends, best practices, and resources.

Qualifications:

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pass a background check.

  • Earn $15 per hour
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • Need to have flexible schedule and ability to do overnight trips
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Ability to supervise group of 16-19 yrs. old
  • Have fun all summer long
