Our client, a leading national mortgage originator and servicing company, is looking to add Mortgage Operations Associates to their St. Louis, MO team.

Description

The Home Loan Specialist is an entry level role supporting various Channels. As the Home Loan Specialist, you will act as a key contributor to facilitate efficient and effective processes that support business and customer service objectives.

The Home Loan Specialist will:

Perform routine data entry and validation tasks

Initiate third party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.)

Review and validate loan documents

Handle routine calls, emails and/or chat responses

Monitor work queues and intervening as needed

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

This is an operations role that is not always an exciting environment and consists of a lot of processing in a deadline driven environment.

The Mortgage Operations Associate will work out of one of four operational queues and will process mortgage disclosures for mortgage loans.

Training will start in the Data Change Requests queue. These are routinely changes to the interest rate or loan amount. Candidate will need to navigate to multiple areas within the system to ensure the changes have been made accurately.

The second queue is Loan Estimate Disclosure. Candidate will need to investigate information within internal and external systems to produce an accurate estimate disclosure for the borrower.

The third queue is Closing Disclosure. Perform the same basic functions as the Loan Estimate queue, and produce a CD for the borrow and work with closing to finalize loan for closing.

The fourth queue is the Disclosure Ticket Box. This is a ad hoc request box where the operational teams will send in requests and these requests will be distributed by members of the team depending on the days/weeks they are assigned to navigate the request box.

Team members will also be assigned reports based on skill/training level by team leadership. An example will be a report that you sort/filter data to ensure that dates and schedules line up for all loans that are in the pipeline. Team members will own these reports for certain durations of time until they are trained on a new report and they have trained someone else to own their current report.

Skills & Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations

Basic Microsoft Office skills and/or Google Suite

Ability to work under deadlines on a daily basis

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
