Nelson Labs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemistry Lab Intern to join our team. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional laboratory setting, working with sophisticated laboratory equipment and contributing to critical testing processes for medical devices.

Shift: Monday through Friday - 8 hours per day

Expected Duration: 2-3 months

Compensation: $19 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Collect raw data from medical device sample testing.
• Utilize sophisticated laboratory equipment, such as a Gas Chromatography Device, to evaluate data.
• Calculate, review, and confirm the accuracy of test results.
• Create customer reports based on testing results.
• Follow written instructions meticulously.
• Ensure high-quality and accurate data reporting.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar Life Science discipline.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required as well.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Solid Mathematical skills.
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

The Chemistry Lab Intern's essential duties include:

• Reviewing laboratory testing results in a supervised environment.
• Carefully following established testing and traceability procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Communicating any unexpected issues that arise during testing to lab leadership.
• Participating in reviews of quality events to understand root cause of unexpected results or deviations.
