University of Utah PATHS Residential Counselor in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
Youth Education is seeking passionate individuals to join the team as a PATHS Residential Counselor. The PATHS Program prepares prospective first-generation high school students to achieve their full potential and pursue higher education. Counselors will work with groups of up to 20 students each week at the University of Utahs campus for 8 week-long camps.PATHS Counselors are leaders, mentors, educators, and advocates for PATHS students and their communities. They supervise and ensure the safety of students during camp, teach and lead program curriculum, develop and coordinate enrichment activities, supervise during overnight stays, and act as positive role models. Applicants must pass applicable background checks in order to be hired.Counselors will be contracted on a temporary basis from May 16, 2025 through July 31, 2025. They will not be scheduled to work on weekends and holidays. Mandatory Team Training: Friday, May 16 to Saturday, May 31 Day Camps: Monday, June 2 Friday, June 27 Residential Camps: Monday, June 30 Friday, July 25 Team and Individual Debriefing: Monday, July 29 Wednesday, July 31Residential Counselors will work approximately 40 hours per week excluding weekends during residential camps in July. Residential Counselors will receive accommodations and be expected to stay overnight during residential camp weeks Residential Counselors will receive their total pay of $3,000 (before taxes) in equal distributions on a semi-monthly schedule during the their contracted time. Counselors will be required to complete 2 weeks of training prior to the start of camp. Meals will be provided during camp programming using Dining Dollars.
