Job Summary

The Sustainability Office seeks a student intern to help promote and run the SCIF program at the University of Utah. Enrolled students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply.

The Sustainability Office empowers students, employees, and the wider community to build a sustainable future through education, engagement, and collaborative action.

Intern will assist the SCIF Program in its mission through outreach and program tracking, social media, data entry, administrative support, blog writing, and campus-centric opportunities. Most importantly, the intern will help the Sustainability Office make the SCIF program fun and exciting for the whole campus.

Responsibilities

Students selected as the SCIF intern will be assigned roles that focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Track projects as they move through various administrative processes;

  • Enter all projects and application into a database that can be utilized for tracking and other reporting;

  • These projects will also be compiled into an indesign document that will be published on the website

  • Work with the student sustainability leaders on campus to help promote SCIF and SCIF adjacent projects;

  • Compile resources for the campus as a living lab resource hub

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Preferences

Must be a University of Utah full-time student. Internships are open to all majors. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, public speaking ability, as well as organizational capacity. Experiences with program development, project management, social media communications, and data entry are a plus.

Experience with Salesforce and Indesign a plus, but not required for consideration.
