National Vision is currently looking for a Night Shift Team Lead who is a dedicated Optical Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our lenses while contributing to an efficient workflow.

Your Shift
- Night shift (B) Wednesday -Friday 4 pm to 4:30 am
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Team Lead for the Night Shift at our facility in Salt Lake City, United States. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing workload distribution, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of associates during night operations.
Monitor team performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and provide regular feedback to the Supervisor
Oversee job quality levels, analyze and process rejected jobs, and address breakage issues promptly
Ensure timely processing of work and minimize backlog of old jobs
Track and report associate production figures to the Supervisor for daily reporting purposes
Assist in training new and current associates to maintain high performance standards
Collaborate with other Team Leads to resolve department issues efficiently
Optimize workload distribution among team members, redeploying staff as needed to maintain productivity
Foster a supportive and goal-oriented work environment during night shift operations
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory position-Manufacturing (preferred)
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide night shift personnel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in reading and writing English
Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
Physical capability to perform sustained light effort tasks (20 lbs. or less)
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in changing situations
Experience working night shifts and willingness to work weekends and overtime when necessary
Ability to exercise regular judgment and make decisive actions in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in an optical lab environment or similar optical field is preferred
Familiarity with optical lab operations and processes is a plus
