Qualifications:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I
- Bachelor's degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
- 2 years' relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance or utilization in healthcare systems or business systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pharmacy Data Analyst II
- Bachelor's degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field and
- 5 years' relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance or utilization in healthcare systems or business systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- STARS and MES experience strongly preferred
Pharmacy Data Analyst III
- Bachelor's degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
- 8years' relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development, maintenance or utilization in healthcare systems or business systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- STARS and MES experience strongly preferred
Skills and Attributes:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I
- Demonstrates advanced SQL expertise and report-writing capabilities, with proficiency in Oracle suite, Microsoft Access, SQL Navigator, and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VBA, macros, vlookups).
- Possesses strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to independently perform complex analyses and develop innovative methodologies for new projects.
- Exhibits comprehensive understanding of corporate data systems (claims, membership, pricing, provider) and healthcare fundamentals including medical terminology, diagnosis/procedure coding, and provider reimbursement methodologies.
- Demonstrates well-developed business acumen in finance, accounting, statistics, risk management, and project management, with ability to support strategic and tactical planning through creative data applications.
- Excels in written and oral communication, effectively interfacing with internal /external stakeholders while leading interdepartmental training and documentation initiatives.
- Creates and validates desk procedures, ensuring departmental cohesiveness and accuracy while managing cross-functional training activities with minimal supervision.
- Applies managed care principles, underwri ing knowledge, and actuarial concepts while identifying and implementing solutions to complex business challenges.
Pharmacy Data Analyst II - In addition to level I
- Must have advanced/complex SQL knowledge and report-writing capabilities. Seen as department expert.
- Proficient using data access tools, specifically Oracle suite of tools, Microsoft Access, SQL Navigator, SQL, VBA, ODBC, report development, form development, imports specs and case selects, etc.
- Advanced skills with word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel) programs.
- Highly advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present to all levels of management.
- Proven ability to work independently with complex projects with large financial impact and/or risk to the corporation.
- Proficient understanding of all relevant corporate data systems including claims, membership, pricing and provider data systems.
Pharmacy Data Analyst III - In addition to level I and II
- Ability to work well independently or with a team. Mentors/coaches others. May direct or lead Analyst I or II on projects.
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Pharmacy Data Analyst I and II
• Develops and maintains complex SQL-based reports, BOE universes, and enterprise dashboards while implementing automated validation procedures and providing final sign-off on departmental reporting.
• Performs advanced statistical analysis, data modeling, and trend analysis across healthcare services, utilization, costs, enrollment, and revenue metrics, delivering actionable insights for all business lines.
• Designs and maintains robust information reporting systems, including data validation routines and balancing protocols, ensuring data warehouse integrity and reliability for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluates and analyzes impacts of new products, systems, and work processes on data infrastructure, while proactively identifying and addressing potential issues with significant corporate risk implications.
• Serves as a technical mentor, providing training and support to business analysts in query development and reporting methodologies, promoting consistency across the organization.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure accurate data capture, interpret complex datasets, and determine reporting requirements while communicating findings through verbal and written channels.
• Makes high-stakes decisions with substantial financial impact, contributes to departmental deadlines, and maintains responsibility for final validation of complex reporting across the organization.
Pharmacy Data Analyst III - In addition to Level I and II
- Seen as the technical expert on pharmacy data analytics issues.
- May mentor/coach others. May direct or lead Analyst I or II on projects.

The expected hiring salary range for a Pharmacy Data Analyst I is $56,950 - $77,050 a year depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $53,000 - $88,000 a year.
The expected hiring salary range for a Pharmacy Data Analyst II is $75,650 - $102,350 a year depending on skills , experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range for this role is $71,000 - $116,000 a year.
The expected hiring salary range for a Pharmacy Data Analyst III is $91,800 - $124,200 a year depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.
The bonus target for this position is 15%. The current full salary range for this role is $91,800 - $124,200 a year.
