Aerotek Cnc Programmer in San Antonio, Texas

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be required to program and assist machine operators in setting up a variety of machines, including mills, lathes, mill turns, and others as needed. You will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine part/product dimensions and tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Your tasks will include setting machine speeds and feeds, editing G & M code from the CNC controller, machining complex, high-tolerance components, designing fixtures and tooling for complex machining operations, and serving as a backup for Machinists. When required, you will perform Machinist work.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and determine dimensions and tolerances

  • Skilled in making N/C programs for 3 & 4 axis mills, lathes w/ live tooling, and mill turn

  • Familiarity with machines including Haas vf2, Doosan Mx2100st, Doosan Mx2600st, and Doosan Lynx

  • Proficiency in the use of measuring tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, thread gauges, and plug gauges, air gauges, and optical comparator)

  • Experience in making N/C programs for assigned equipment

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.
